The Clay Canvas is a small scale paint it yourself Ceramic Studio in a suburban setting where you can enjoy the company of friends and family while trying your hand at painting some functional ceramic ware.
Whether you want to create your own gifts or are looking for a unique party/ outing idea, or just want to escape to create something for yourself, we have a varied range of items to decorate and match all tastes and budgets. If you feel you have no artistic talent, no worries, we have fun and simple techniques to show you and will give guidance as needed. We look forward to hosting your Paint experience. |

Clay Canvas Pricing
We carry the most popular range of stoneware bisque from our potter's very extensive selection, but should you have specific requirements (example: a full dinner service) we would be able to purchase these for you: please ask for a quotation.
Ceramics
Ceramic prices differ per the item selected, but generally range from the cheapest items at R90 to the most expensive Bowls & platters at R280. The prices include all decorating, glazing and firing costs.
Studio Fee
There is a once off Studio Fee, currently R40 (Forty Rand), per person per painting session. This is regardless of the number of items chosen to paint: this covers the costs of the studio and the logistics of taking the ceramics to be fired.
Vouchers
Deposits
For groups of 10 or more, we require a deposit equal to the total of the studio fees. This deposit is off set against the final account on day of booking.
Studio Exclusive Use
When making bookings for exclusive use of the Clay Canvas venue (i.e. Big Groups, Ladies nights, Chill sessions and parties) we ask for a non-refundable Deposit/Venue fee of R500.00 when booking.
STEP1
Choose a ceramic piece you would like to paint. Our wide range includes items, suitable for children, the kitchen, decor, gifts and more.

STEP 2
Create your own one-of-a-kind design. Feel free to sketch your idea on to the ceramic before painting. No talent? We can show you some easy paint techniques using stencils, sponges, scratching tools, etc.

STEP 3
Once your ceramic is painted, we will have it glazed and fired and then let you know when you can collect (usually after 2 weeks).
